The Ritz Carlton is in a prime location overlooking the ocean on South Beach walking distance to Ocean Drive, Lincoln Road Shops, South Beach nightlife and three miles from downtown Miami. The hotel was designed in 1953 by Morris Lapidus design, the restored hotel features a two-story-high lobby with black terrazzo floors, circular wood columns, and a winding staircase leading to the mezzanine level. Americana - Hotel’s signature restaurant, with indoor and outdoor patio dining. Breakfast menu includes smoked salmon, cereals, yogurts, fruits, and fresh juices. Lunch includes salads, sandwiches, and lobster grilled-cheese. Kobe meatloaf, lobster Rockefeller, and grilled tuna casserole are dinner selections. There is also entertainment provided by DJ Smeejay (named best DJ in Miami by Miami New Times) on the terrace 6 – 9 p.m. seven nights a week.
De Lido Beach Club - Trendy South Mediterranean-style restaurant. “Sun cuisine” includes monkfish, gingered lobster, and grilled medallions of beef. Dinner only.
Lapidus Lounge - Cocktails and tapas served mid-afternoon through late evening in lounge. DJ-spun music Thursday-Saturday nights.
1LR – One Lincoln Road – Cocktails, coffee, tea, and light finger foods served in lobby bar from late afternoon till late evening.

There is an outdoor pool that overlooks the ocean, and a fitness centre equipped with bikes, treadmills, and weight machines. The hotel even has a tanning butler on staff. The spa, covering 16,000sq/ft was named the best day spa in Miami by Allure magazine and features 14-treatment rooms, a "Power Shower" with 23 body sprays, luxurious relaxation lounges, a full-service salon and two couple's suites.
On the beach personal watercraft, parasails, and kayaks can be rented. Other amenities include 20,000 square feet of meeting and event space with high-speed Internet access (surcharge). Supervised activities for children ages 5-12 are available (surcharge).
